2008 Turkey hunting in NH

I finally got my first bird this year on the opening day of the adult season. It was 18.5 lbs, 9.25" beard and 3/4 " spurs. Pretty cool experience, but....

Skylar had to show me up again. On opening day of the youth hunt, Sky got one that was 20 lbs, 8.5" beard and 3/4" spurs. I think the bird is bigger than him!!

Bobcat in Conway!

Take a look at these pictures! Last night a wild Bobcat came to the back door of my parent's house!! It looks like a large house cat but it is actually lynx rufus , aka a Bay Lynx, which is a North American species of the big cat family. He looks cute but I wouldn't want to pet him. He's a fierce hunter who loves to chase down and eat the local Snowshoe Hares.
